Claims of blood appearing on the walls or floor due to jinn or black magic (sihr) often spread quickly because they trigger fear and curiosity. Such incidents are immediately labeled as supernatural. However, a careful, balanced approach is essential—one that respects Islamic belief while staying grounded in reality.
How Can It Be Seen?
People who report such incidents often describe:
- Red or dark stains suddenly noticed on floors or walls
- Drops or splashes that resemble fresh or dried blood
- Appearance in specific rooms, often repeatedly
- No clear source visible at first glance
These visuals can be shocking, especially if they appear suddenly or during quiet hours.
Possible Causes (Often Overlooked)
In Islam, the existence of jinn is affirmed in the Qur’an, including Surah Al-Jinn, and the reality of sihr is also acknowledged. Yet, Islam does not encourage attributing every unusual or unexplained event to unseen forces. The religion teaches clarity, evidence, and عقل (sound reasoning).
Before assuming anything supernatural, it’s essential to consider real-world explanations:
- Rusty or contaminated water: Iron deposits can leave reddish stains that look like blood
- Animal activity: Injured rodents, insects, or small animals may leave traces
- Plumbing leaks: Corroded pipes can drip discolored liquid
- Paint, dye, or chemical spills: Some substances resemble blood when dried
- Environmental factors: Mold or bacterial growth can create unusual stains
If you have carefully determined that none of the above is the reason, then your concern is naturally understood and you need to dig deeper into why it’s happening.
This points to Sihr and acts of jinns under the Sihr to disturb the person and his or her life. If you are under the negative spiritual energy attack from jinns, you may also see or feel some additional signs. These additional signs/ symptoms provide additional evidence of negative spiritual energy attack.
Additional accompanied Unexplained Disturbing Signs
Suspicion of sihr may become stronger when unexplained disturbances occur repeatedly and are accompanied by other unusual experiences, such as:
- Persistent frightening dreams or nightmares
- Unusual fear or distress in the home
- Severe and unexplained conflict between family members
- Sudden hatred or separation between spouses
- Disturbing experiences that seem to have no apparent explanation
- Strong discomfort when Qur’an is being recited

Don’t jump to conclusions yourself, don’t jump in the hands of wrong people, move on with caution, evaluate the advice of the person you consulted in line with islamic knowledge rather than acting out of fear.

Sihr and the Jinn
The Qur’an confirms that sihr exists and that people sought the assistance of devils in practicing it. Allah also makes clear that its effect cannot occur independently of His permission.
Therefore, a Muslim should never believe that a magician, jinn, or any other creation possesses power equal or even closer, closer to any point to Allah. Allah is greater than every form of sihr and every unseen creation.
يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُخَفِّفَ عَنكُمْ ۚ وَخُلِقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ ضَعِيفًۭا (4:28)
And it is Allah’s Will to lighten your burdens, for humankind was created weak
كَلَّا ۖ بَلْ ۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ (83:14)
But no! In fact, their hearts have been stained by all ˹the evil˺ they used to commit
ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُوا۟ ٱلْجَحِيمِ (83:16)
Moreover, they will surely burn in Hell,
ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ(83:17)
and then be told, “This is what you used to deny.”
هَلْ ثُوِّبَ ٱلْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ(83:36)
˹The believers will be asked,˺ “Have the disbelievers ˹not˺ been paid back for what they used to do?”
Sura-Asr (103)
By the ˹passage of˺ time! Surely humanity is in ˹grave˺ loss, except those who have faith, do good, and urge each other to the truth, and urge each other to perseverance with patience.
وَٱسْتَعِينُوا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ وَٱلصَّلَوٰةِ ۚ وَإِنَّهَا لَكَبِيرَةٌ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱلْخَـٰشِعِينَ(2:45)
And seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, it is a burden except for the humble—
The purpose behind this may be to scare and mentally disturb the victim and probably not to directly harm the vitim physically.
There could be other motive behind this.

Protection From Black Magic (Sihr)
A believer should turn to Allah rather than becoming consumed by fear.
You may do the following for your protection:
- Maintaining the five daily prayers
- Reciting Ayat al-Kursi
- Reciting Surah Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas
- Maintaining morning and evening Adhkar
- Frequently reciting Qur’an
- Making sincere du’a to Allah for protection
- Performing legitimate ruqyah Shar’iyyah
